The Unites States Tennis Association (USTA) has a star on the rise!

Ariya Hook has been crushing her recent games as a Potenza and USTA athlete. Hook recently competed at 3 USTA tournaments earning top three in all matches, including a first place trophy during the last match in 2023. She absolutely swept the competition at the Eden Prairie (E.P.) Lifetime Holiday matches back in December 2023. She continued to rise above her components and received the First Place honor to end her year on a high note!

2024 has been good to Hook as she continues to push herself to the next level. Hook continued to bring her A-game the to E.P. Lifetime April Open. Her first two games were ACES where she highlighted her competitive edge during her matches. She kept her momentum going into her final games of the weekend and brought home a third place trophy.

Last weekend, Hook competed at the E.P. LifeTime Spring Open on Sat., May 4. She fought hard all weekend and left with second-place honors in the 14&U bracket. To make it to the finals, she crushed the court in the semi-finals with two 6-1 wins and a ticket to the championship round. The championship loss didn’t faze Hook, as the #22 ranked tennis player in Minnesota in her 2027 class, (according to Tennis Recruiting Network) her grind doesn’t stop. She is about to step up her game next season when she joins the 16 & U crew next year - but her work and passion is only growing from here!

Hook is set to return to her second season training with IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. this summer. IMG is a world-class training facility in sports education. Hook’s passion for the game led her to be trained by some of the best coaches in the world. At IMG she will have the opportunity to grow and build her confidence on and off the court.

Way to show a high level of commitment and dedication at such a young age. This is what we work for at Potenza. The effort you’re putting in is translating well. Congratulations to Ariya! Still a lot of matches left this year - looking to forward to seeing what else you can accomplish.
